The Executive Committee of the RFU approved changes to the regulations of the Russian Football Cup season 2023/24
The Executive Committee of the Russian Football Union approved the regulations for the FONBET Cup of Russia in the 2023/24 season, the press service of the RFU reports.
The draw of the tournament will be held according to the double elimination scheme, which was tested last season.
One change has appeared in the regulations: the finals of the Path of Regions will now consist of one match. The team that loses in the finals of the RPL Path will leave the tournament, and will not play with the winner of the finals of the Path of Regions, as was the case in the previous Cup draw.
The new draw of the tournament is scheduled to start on July 25-27.
