Shavlo expects Spartak to improve with the arrival of Malyshev

Former general director of Spartak Sergey Shavlo told RB Sport that he hopes to improve the results of Spartak after the appointment of a new general director Oleg Malyshev.

On Tuesday, the change of the general director of Spartak was announced. Evgeny Melezhikov, who has held this position since June 2021, left the club by agreement of the parties. Malyshev was appointed instead.

– I expect the improvement of the work of Spartak with the arrival of Oleg Malyshev. Evgeny Melezhikov did a good job. Under him, the team played its own football, took third place. Of course, there is hope that Spartak will improve their game and fight for the championship. The new CEO should familiarize himself with the business, because it is not such an easy job. From all sides there will always be eyes, information that must be responded to. Spartak is a special club in which not everyone can be the CEO. I hope that Oleg Alexandrovich will improve the club, since he is not a completely outsider, he was present in football, did an audit. Surely he knows certain nuances. By joint efforts, with the help of the veterans of the club, Spartak will reach a new level and achieve the results that the fans want to see,” Shavlo said.
