Negotiations on a friendly match with Qatar confirmed in the RFU

The Russian national football team is due to play a friendly match with Qatar, RFU Secretary General Maxim Mitrofanov said.
Earlier it was reported that the meeting could take place in the fall.
— Negotiations are now underway regarding the commercial component. We do not consider the issue of the return match in the contract, – Mitrofanov told Match TV.
On March 23, the Russian national team played a draw with Iran (1:1), and on March 26, they defeated Iraq (2:0) in St. Petersburg.
The Russian national team and Qatar have previously met in 1996, 2011 and 2016. The last match at that time, held in Doha in November 2016, ended with the victory of the Asian team with a score of 2: 1.
