Former CSKA football player Valery Masalitin said that he positively assesses the return of defender Mario Fernandez to the army club, but you need to look at his current physical and playing condition.
Earlier, CSKA President Evgeny Giner said that Fernandez was returning to the army club.
– It is clear that the return is something good. The fans have many memories of the glorious period of Mario, of the victories of CSKA with him. As for the game characteristics, you need to look at what physical condition he is in. He is there [в Бразилии] I broke the contract, it is not clear whether it is necessary to pay for it or not. We need to figure it out,” Masalitin told Gazeta.Ru.
In May 2022, Fernandez put his career on hold and returned to Brazil. In April, Internacional, for which the defender had played on loan since January of this year, announced the termination of the contract with the 32-year-old player. Fernandez’s current agreement with CSKA runs until the end of June 2024.
