Roman Oreshchuk, a representative of the agency that works with the Polish defender Maciej Rybus, said that he was pleased with the transfer of the player to Rubin, but in Russia he had two more options to continue his career, and there was also interest from other countries.
The contract with the 33-year-old Polish footballer is for one year. Rybus moved to the Kazan club as a free agent.
– Rybus had two more options, in addition to Rubin, but I will not say which ones. We chose the Kazan club, because first of all the head coach of the team expressed interest. I am very pleased with the transfer to Rubin, I hope Matsey will get game practice, because the head coach wanted to see him.
There were many options from other countries, but it was from Russia that there were two more options. Maciej has a family here and he wanted to stay close to his family – it was a priority, – Oreshchuk told Metaratings.ru.
Rybus played for Spartak Moscow last season. In 12 matches for the Red-Whites, the Pole scored one goal and gave one assist.
