Bronze medalist of Euro 2008, ex-football player of the Russian national team Diniyar Bilyaletdinov told RG that he did not consider it necessary to make hasty decisions about the possible transition of the Russian Football Union (RFU) to the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).

Earlier, adviser to UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin on national associations, Josef Kliment, at a conference in Moscow, expressed the hope that the Russian team would be able to compete in international competitions.

– Does the Russian team have a future? Should I move to Asia?

“Now is the time to endure. Friendly matches are a must, a must! It doesn’t matter who the opponents are, but the national team must exist – this is a privilege for any player. As for Asia, my opinion is that there is no need to make sudden movements yet. Leaving will be easy, but coming back is impossible.

– They talk a lot about Sergey Pinyaev as the main talent of the national team. Is he really that bright? What do you advise him?

– Gifted guy. He acts very unconventionally for our league, stands out, can individually decide an episode. But I would advise him to balance the game a little, because the opponents somehow get used to his manner. You need variety, and he has everything for this. I see him trying to change something. Pinyaev doesn’t need to make any sudden moves, he just needs to get a little more run-in at Lokomotiv. Everything will be great.

Russian teams do not take part in tournaments under the auspices of FIFA and UEFA due to the situation in Ukraine.
