The management of PARI NN considered the candidacies of Yevgeny Kaleshin and Oleg Vasilenko for the position of head coach, if it had not been possible to agree with Sergei Yuran to extend the contract, reports the Championship.
– The management of PARI NN considered these two candidates, but the main sponsor of the club supported Yuran, and the leadership of the Nizhny Novgorod region decided to support him, – the source added.
Juran took over the club in April 2023. PARI NN took 13th place in the Russian Championship last season and, following the results of the play-offs with Rodina, retained its registration in the RPL. The Nizhny Novgorod team will start the season with a home match against the reigning champions Zenit.
