Former CSKA goalkeeper coach Vyacheslav Chanov is not sure who can become Dynamo’s main goalkeeper in the new season.
Last season, 27-year-old Igor Leshchuk played 14 matches for Dynamo (3 – “to zero”), and 36-year-old Anton Shunin – 26 (7 – “to zero”).
– The coach himself determines the state of the goalkeeper. Shunin was definitely number one, because Leshchuk hadn’t pulled before, then Anton was tired purely psychologically during the season. They tried Igor, and he pulled. It is impossible to be sure who will be the first number in the new season. After all, both Leshchuk and Shunin did not spend the season fairly evenly. When the goalkeeper is the first number, he must have the right to make a mistake. If you constantly change it, nothing good will come of it. I think Dynamo is still recruiting a young goalkeeper. In the training process, three goalkeepers are the best option,” Chanov told RB Sport.
At the end of the last season, Dynamo became ninth in the WORLD RPL table.
