“It can’t be repeated in the new season.” Jikia – about insulting judges
The defender of “Spartak” Georgiy Jikia assured that he would control emotions and would not allow himself offensive expressions against the referees.
In the match of the 30th round of the MIR RPL with Wings of the Soviets, Jikia, who was on the bench, was warned for unsportsmanlike behavior, after which he received a direct red card for swearing at the chief referee Alexei Amelin. Subsequently, the defender was disqualified for two matches (one of them suspended) and fined 250 thousand rubles.
– As for my display of emotions at the end of last season, I think that this cannot be repeated in the new season.
Sobolev’s disqualification was reduced.
— I am very happy with this fact. Both of us will miss the first round, and then we will be on alert,” Match TV reports Jikia’s words.
The captain of Spartak also said that he had gained weight during his vacation.
– He spent his vacation in Moscow, doing his own business and taking care of his health. Everything is in normal mode.
– Didn’t manage to go to Georgia and gain a few extra pounds, as before?
– It was not possible to go to Georgia, but the second one was successful. But everything is fine, working weight (smiles).
Earlier, an Amsterdam court sentenced Spartak forward Quincy Promes to 18 months in prison for assaulting a relative. Later this year, Promes is due to stand trial in the Netherlands for smuggling drugs through the port of Antwerp.
Quincy is not easy right now. What mood is he in, did you talk to him?
“I didn’t talk to Quincy personally today. We all arrived at different times. It is clear that they crossed paths, they found out how each other was doing. Surface themes. But personally, I repeat, we did not communicate, especially on some personal topics.
– Are you planning some kind of conversation as a captain and a senior comrade?
We plan to talk to everyone. From tomorrow, we will all live and spend the night together, we will be closed at the base,” Jikia said.
