Russian coach Alexander Tarkhanov commented on the appointment of Milorad Mazhic to the post of head of the refereeing department of the Russian Football Union (RFU), expressing the hope that the Serb will be able to organize the effective work of the refereeing corps in Russia.

On Tuesday, it was announced that Mažić became the head of the refereeing department of the RFU. The Serbian replaced Pavel Kamantsev, who will continue to work as chairman of the referee committee. The contract with the 50-year-old Majic was signed for two years with the possibility of an extension for another year.

Serbs have a mentality close to Russian. Therefore, perhaps, Mazic will be able to organize the effective work of the judiciary in Russia. Last season there were many complaints about refereeing. Therefore, probably, they decided to change the leader. Referees need to be trained in the same way as football players. After all, before the judges were mainly those who played football themselves.
