Karpin called the primary task of “Rostov” for the season to maintain a place in the RPL, said Melekhin

Rostov central defender Viktor Melekhin told Metaratings.ru that on the first day of the training camp, the head coach of the team, Valery Karpin, called maintaining residence in the RPL the main task for the 2023/24 season.

– Rostov has only one Macedonian Toshevsky among foreign legionnaires, they don’t have a lot of money, they don’t even have an accessible airport, while the team was the discovery of last season. What is your secret?

– I think the guys got closer and started to communicate with each other more: both young and old, and old and young. We have a close-knit team, experienced players and young players hungry for victories. So everything came together. God bless you to be able to continue. – What will Rostov claim for next season?

– We met on the first day of the training camp, we had a team meeting. There, Valery Georgievich told us that the primary task for the upcoming season is to stay in the Premier League and try to win every match. So that we go from match to match, as it was in the past and the season before last, – Melekhin said.

Last season, Rostov took fourth place in the WORLD RPL. The team will start the new season with a home match against Fakel.
