President of the Iranian Football Federation Mahdi Taj announced that the National Security Council had approved women attending soccer matches in the country.
The working group will deal with the implementation of this possibility. It is planned that women can come to Gol Gokhar, Sepahan, Zob Akhan and Gadir Ahvaz stadiums. The Azadi Arena must also be prepared for this.
In August 2022, women in Iran were able to watch a national championship match for the first time since 1979. It was a meeting between the teams “Esteghlal” and “Mes Kerman”.
