Spartak head coach Guillermo Abascal personally insisted on the transfer of Cadiz midfielder Theo Bongonda, the parties are close to completing the deal, Metaratings.ru reports.
Abascal believes that this transfer will expand Spartak’s attacking variability.
According to Blaze Trends, the management of the Spanish team is ready to part with the player for 4-5 million euros.
The 27-year-old Belgian played 32 games for Cadiz in all competitions this season, scoring four goals and providing three assists.
Bongonda has been playing for Cadiz since 2022, his contract with the Spanish club runs until the summer of 2026.
