Agent Alexander Manyakov, representing the interests of the former Lokomotiv defender Igor Smolnikov, refused to talk about the player’s future.
On Friday, Lokomotiv announced the departure of the 34-year-old football player due to the expiration of the contract.
“I don’t give comments on this topic,” Manyakov is quoted by Euro‑Football.Ru.
Smolnikov spent the first part of last season at Torpedo. As part of the “black and white” he played 16 matches, in which he scored one goal. In winter, the footballer moved to Lokomotiv, for which he played six matches.
Previously, Smolnikov played for Zenit, in which he became the national champion. Smolnikov also played for the Tula Arsenal, Krasnodar, Rostov and other Russian clubs.
