Dziuba’s children’s coach: “Artem will be able to become a coach. He is not a punk, but a serious guy.
Alexander Shuplyakov, the children’s coach of Lokomotiv striker Artem Dzyuba, believes that his student is able to become a coach after his playing career ends.
On Saturday, Dzyuba took part in a fan meeting as part of the Moscow Sports Day and, answering questions from fans, said that in the future he wants to try himself as a coach.
– Dziuba wants to try his hand at coaching? He said that he wants to become a coach along with a serious coach. Do you know what we are talking about? (About Slutsky – approx.) Immediately to Rotor and then to CSKA. And so on. Kidding.
Artem knows how to switch. If he tries to become a coach, it will be interesting for me and many viewers, and not only. But he doesn’t know yet. Being a player and being a coach are two different things. Trainers are unique. But Dziuba can! He has a broad outlook, always analyzes. He is a serious fellow. Knows how to take risks. Dzyuba is different. He is not a punk, he is a hooligan in a good way. I think he still has time to think about it. The season will start and he will make a decision.
Participation in various shows? It’s in his genetics. He is who he is. Maybe he does it on purpose. I do not think that participation in such programs will affect his reputation. I just wish him to feel the role of a coach and get to the right place at the right time,” Shupliakov told Sport24.
Dzyuba joined the railroad in February 2023. The forward played 11 matches last season, scoring eight goals and providing five assists. Lokomotiv finished the league in eighth place with 45 points.
At the end of May, Dzyuba, who will turn 35 in August, signed a new agreement with the Moscow club until the end of the 2023/24 season with the possibility of an extension for another year.
