Juventus newcomer Timothy Weah explained that his father is a big fan of the club, which made his decision to move to the Turin club even easier.
The 23-year-old is the son of AC Milan legend and current Liberian President George Weah, who won the Ballon d’Or during his time at the Rossoneri.
“I am excited, flattered and happy. This is a dream come true. Juve is one of the best clubs in the world, I’m overjoyed.
Why Juve? Club, history, players, coach and staff. My father’s time at Milan is part of my family’s history. And it was a very important period, now his son has the chance to play in Serie A and in one of the most important clubs. This is amazing. And this is one of his favorite teams – he is a big fan of Juventus. It made my choice easier,” said Timothy Weah.
Turin club acquired Timothy Weah from Lille. The player’s contract runs until 2028.
