Cinquini doubts that the transfer of Russian players to Italy is now real
The ex-manager of the Russian national team, Oreste Cinquini, told RB Sport that the transfer of Russian players to Italian clubs is now almost impossible.
Earlier, the media reported that Spartak defender Daniil Khlusevich might be of interest to Lazio, Genoa and Verona.
– It is difficult to judge the reality of Serie A clubs’ interest in Russian players, for me the most obvious indicator is that there was no such news in any Italian newspaper, – says Cinquini. – I doubt that at the moment the transfer of Russians to Italy is real, such a transfer with a high degree of probability will not be possible to implement. Why? Because it’s difficult for Italians to have relationships with Russian clubs right now, that can be a big problem.
In February 2022, FIFA and UEFA suspended Russian clubs and national teams from participating in international competitions due to the situation in Ukraine.
