Miranchuk’s first coach: “Lesha needs to cling to Europe, it will be possible to end his career at Loko”
The first coach of Atalanta midfielder Alexei Miranchuk, Alexander Voronkov, told RB Sport that it was too early for his student to return to Russia.
In the summer of 2020, the Russian moved to Atalanta from Lokomotiv, and last season he spent on loan at Torino.
– I see Alexei’s immediate future only in Europe. He is not yet at the age to return to Russia. For example, in Lokomotiv it will be possible to end a career when the age is right. Fans love him and look forward to his return. This is a good option for the sunset of a career. But now Lesha is in the prime of his life, he can reach an even higher level of play. We must cling to Europe,” said Voronkov.
In total last season, 27-year-old Miranchuk played 31 matches, scored 4 goals and made 6 assists. Portal Transfermarkt estimates the player at 12 million euros.
