The head coach of the Russian national team Valery Karpin considers the transfer of the midfielder of the national team Daler Kuzyaev to the French Le Havre a step forward for the football player.

On Wednesday, Kuzyaev moved to Le Havre as a free agent. The agreement with the 30-year-old football player is calculated until 2025.

– Did Daler consult with me when deciding to move to Europe? No. But he knows my opinion. Obviously, for him this is a step forward in his career. And it’s not about the level of the clubs – Zenit and Le Havre, but about the strength of the French championship and the teams against which Kuzyaev will have to play. It is clear that the level of resistance in the French championship is higher than in Russia. I wish Daler good luck in Le Havre! Karpin told Sport24.

The Russian was in the status of a free agent, since his contract with Zenit ended on June 30. Last season he scored five goals and provided seven assists in 35 club appearances.
