Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson accepted the offer of Saudi Arabian club ‘Al-Ittifaq’. The English midfielder’s personal contract has been agreed. Jurgen Klopp allowed the 33-year-old player to leave the club.
The deal now hinges on how Liverpool and Al Ittifaq agree on the transfer fee. The Merseysiders want £10m for their captain.
Henderson joined Liverpool from Sunderland in July 2011. In twelve years as part of the Reds, the Englishman played 492 matches, scored 33 goals and provided 61 assists.
