Agent Alexander Klyuev, representing the interests of Monaco midfielder Alexander Golovin, told Metaratings.ru that the transfer of midfielder Daler Kuzyaev to French Le Havre is an important moment for all Russian football.
Le Havre on Wednesday announced the transfer of the 30-year-old midfielder on a free transfer. The agreement with the 30-year-old Russian is calculated until 2025.
– According to the experience of Alexander Golovin, what difficulties will Daler face at first in France?
– First of all, the language. For example, Sasha Golovin learned both French and English, the new requirements of the coaching staff, adaptation in the team and in the new country, it is necessary to settle down in the city. These will be the key moments at the start.
– Kuzyaev’s transition to League 1 is the first transfer of a Russian to the top 5 league, starting from the beginning of the SVO and our sports isolation. Is this an important precedent?
– I think that this is a very important story for all Russian football. Our player will go to France, to a strong championship, and will represent Russia in Europe.
– Le Havre has not played in Ligue 1 for 14 years. To exchange the best club in Russia for the worst in Ligue 1 – do you understand Daler’s motivation?
– Yes, I understand. I will emphasize once again that the French championship is one of the strongest in Europe.
Kuzyaev has been playing for Zenit since 2017, he also played for Terek Grozny and Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. He has 46 matches and two goals for the Russian national team.
At the end of the 2022/23 season, Le Havre entered the elite division of the French championship.
