Former goalkeeper of the Russian national team Ruslan Nigmatullin said that he would not count on something serious from the striker Theo Bongond, who had previously moved to Spartak Moscow.
On Wednesday, Spartak announced the transfer of Bongond from Cadiz. The agreement with the 27-year-old Congolese runs until June 30, 2026.
– We can confidently say that Spartak is now thinking only about the attack. We decided to play according to the Brazilian system: you score as much as you can, and we will score as much as we want. It is difficult to assess the skill level of Bongond, no one watched the games of Cadiz. But this club does not look like a Spanish grandee. I wouldn’t count on anything serious. This is a cat in a poke for Spartak,” Nigmatullin told the Championship.
Last season, MIR RPL Spartak took third place. Zenit won the fifth championship in a row.
