Former goalkeeper of the Russian national football team Ruslan Nigmatullin expressed doubt that for the Russian midfielder Daler Kuzyaev, the transition to the French Le Havre would become a kind of springboard in his career.
Le Havre on Wednesday announced the transfer of the midfielder on a free transfer. The agreement with the 30-year-old Russian is designed for two seasons.
– Kuzyaev wanted to leave for Europe for a very long time. He is already 30, which is quite a serious age for such experiments. Le Havre is Daler’s last chance to play in Europe. I am sure that Zenit gave him a salary many times more. But Kuzyaev really wanted to try his hand abroad.
I want Daler to finally find in this team what he has been looking for for a long time. At one time, I stepped on a rake very unpleasantly when I left for Europe. It is difficult to hope that Le Havre will become some kind of springboard for him. Kuzyaev is no longer 20 years old, age plays a big role. But let’s hope for the best, – quotes Nigmatullin “Championship”.
Kuzyaev has been playing for Zenit since 2017, he also played for Terek Grozny and Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk. He has 46 matches and two goals for the Russian national team.
At the end of the 2022/23 season, Le Havre entered the elite division of the French championship.
