FC Orenburg footballer Goglichidze said he was thinking about playing for the Georgian national team
Orenburg defender Leo Goglichidze answered the question if he thought about changing sports citizenship.
At the end of June, Ural announced the departure of the defender to Orenburg. The 26-year-old footballer changed the club on a one-year loan with an option to buy.
— Do you have Georgian roots?
— Yes, the father is Georgian.
– Have you ever thought about changing sports citizenship?
– Honestly, there are such thoughts in my head, but everyone understands perfectly well that then I will be considered a legionnaire, and it will be difficult in the future. Of course, there is such a desire. Hope it’s all in the future.
– Have you received any proposals from the Georgian national team yet?
No, I don’t have a passport. I don’t see the point of inviting as long as there is no citizenship, ”RB Sport” quotes Goglichidze as saying.
Last season Goglichidze took part in 37 matches in all competitions and scored one assist.
The new season of the MIR RPL starts on July 21 with the Dynamo-Krasnodar match. Watch live broadcasts of RPL matches on Match TV, the thematic channels of the holding, as well as on matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
