Zenit rejected Flamengo’s offer for Claudinho, club representatives intend to come to Russia – media
Petersburg “Zenith” has rejected the offer of the Brazilian “Flamengo” to transfer the player “blue-white-blue” Claudinho, according to O Dia.
According to the publication, the Brazilian club offered Zenit 15 million euros, but the leadership of the St. Petersburg team made it clear that it was counting on the 26-year-old player in the new season. Flamengo are confident that the negotiations will last until the end of the transfer window, so team representatives intend to come to Russia to conduct them “face to face”.
Claudinho has been defending the colors of Zenit since 2021, the player’s agreement expires in the summer of 2027. In the 2022/23 season, the midfielder made 30 appearances, scoring five goals and making 12 assists.
On July 15, Zenit will play with CSKA in the match for the OLIMPBET Russian Super Cup. The meeting will be held in Kazan and will start at 17:00 (Moscow time). The game will be shown live by Match TV, as well as matchtv.ru and sportbox.ru websites.
