Baltika was interested in signing goalkeeper Andrey Lunev, the Kaliningrad club contacted the player’s representatives, RB Sport reports.
It is noted that the goalkeeper refused to negotiate with the club, which will play in the RPL next season.
Lunev has been playing for Bayer Leverkusen since the summer of 2021. In May, the German club announced the departure of the Russian goalkeeper at the end of the season due to the expiration of the contract.
Last season, 31-year-old Lunev played one match in the Bundesliga and conceded two goals. Earlier, the ex-goalkeeper of Zenit told Match TV that, first of all, he was considering options from Europe to continue his career.
