Defender “Zenith” Mario Fernández reacted to the statement CSKA.
In May 2022, I addressed the President CSKA with the request to terminate the contract to spend some time in Brazil with his family and attend the birth of his son. At that moment we agreed and to be released I signed an agreement to terminate the contract, thus giving up the remaining two years of the contract, ie the “high salary” that I should have received during this residual period of the contract.
It so happened that while I was in Brazil, I decided to stay for another year. Even when the contract was already over, I reached out CSKA and announced his intention to return to football and that I would stay in Brazil. At that moment I started negotiations with Internacional and when I asked CSKA regarding the release, the leaders stated that they do not need any letter or release from CSKAsince I have already terminated the contract and now I am free, so I can negotiate freely with the Brazilian club.
It so happened that I didn’t adapt to Brazilian football and I asked Internacional to terminate my contract, giving up all the values that I should have received, including salary, and this request was accepted by the club. However, when concluding this deal / termination of the contract, Internacional, in addition to the values already saved, also included a financial clause in the event of a transfer to other clubs, which I accepted and understood that it was right, since that I am a free athlete.
At that moment, indeed in April, being free again, having only this reservation, which had to be paid cheaply for the transfer market, I immediately contacted CSKA, warning about what happened and expressing the desire to return to the club for the new season. Thus began the negotiations on my possible return. It so happened that, having learned about the amount of compensation, CSKA he immediately protested, saying that he did not agree with this cost and that he did not want to pay the full amount, proposing that I pay part of the cost of the operation out of my own pocket. Therefore, I felt it was unfair that I should have to pay such an amount, since I had already canceled a two-year contract with CSKAcome to Brazil, and he also gave up valuables to terminate his contract with Internacional, and it would be unfair to “pay the job.” Except for me to go back to CSKA this season, if they pay the release, I have agreed to receive a salary less than half of what I received with the contract terminated before leaving for Brazil, i.e. I have made every possible effort to return to CSKA. However, this point has not been agreed with either me or Internacional, but CSKA he remained adamant about 2 months of contact and decided to break off negotiations with me.
Right now when CSKA after the negotiations, I clearly said that from now on I will listen to the offers of other clubs, because I want to continue my career, and they are no longer interested in the negotiations, thus cutting off any contact with me from the outside CSKAI mean, they weren’t looking for me anymore.
17 days later CSKA he concluded the negotiations with me and said that it was not about charity, and knowing that I was free, Zenit approached me, interested in signing me. At that moment I clearly and honestly told Zenit that my priority was CSKAthat negotiations with me have been completed and that I am ready to listen to other proposals. When I understood that Zenit was interested and would make an offer, I contacted CSKAsaying that the Russian team wants to take me and that I will get an offer, but again CSKA he didn’t want to pay a low cost clause for my transfer, leaving me the possibility of making a deal with another club. In other words, a CSKA there were every chance to give me back, but they didn’t want to.
