“In the new season, Zenit will not be the only contender for the championship” – Tarkhanov

Former CSKA head coach Alexander Tarkhanov told RB Sport that in the new season, Moscow teams will impose serious competition on Zenit in the fight for the championship.

On Saturday in Kazan, Zenit defeated CSKA in the match for the OLIMPBET Russian Super Cup. The main time of the match ended with a score of 0:0, the club from St. Petersburg won on penalties – 5:4.

It seems to me that in the 2023/24 season it will be more difficult for the Petersburgers than before. Especially if CSKA, Spartak and Lokomotiv continue to get stronger, Tarkhanov said.
