The deal to sell the rights to Manchester United may not close this summer.
The Glazer family put the club up for sale last November, the sale process Manchester United took longer than originally planned. Qatari sheikh says he’s buying ‘devils’ Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani and British billionaire Jim Ratcliff. They had hoped that the details would appear in this mid-June issue, but that didn’t happen.
Both candidates fear that the Glazers may refuse to sell the team, in which case the trial could stretch into winter. Al Thani and Ratcliffe have each offered £5 billion, the Americans want £6. Attempts to raise the price have been unsuccessful.
