Aubameyang to leave Chelsea to join Marseille on free transfer
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will terminate his contract with London’s Chelsea and move to Marseille on a free transfer, journalist Fabrizio Romano reports on social networks.
According to the source, the 33-year-old will join the French club on Wednesday and undergo a medical on Thursday before signing a three-year deal.
Aubameyang’s contract with Chelsea runs until the summer of 2024. Portal Transfermarkt estimates the value of the player at 7 million euros.
The Gabonese striker made 15 appearances last season in the Premier League and scored one goal.
