The ex-president of Lokomotiv, Olga Smorodskaya, told RB Sport that Stanislav Cherchesov is unlikely to be in demand in Russia, but admitted that she would like to see him in Ural.
On Wednesday, Ferencváros lost at home with a score of 0:3 to the Faroese Klaksvik in the second leg of the 1st qualifying round of the Champions League and dropped out of the tournament. After the game, the president of the Hungarian club, Gabor Kubatov, held a personal meeting with Cherchesov. It was decided to leave the Russian specialist from the post of head coach. Fernandez played under the leadership of Cherchesov in the Russian national team.
“Cherchesov will not be in demand in Russia,” Smorodskaya believes. – We have a very strange market for coaches, football players, sports directors. A very strange market. Let’s see, maybe I’m wrong.
What club would you like to see him in?
– In some “Ural”, for example.
Cherchesov has headed Ferencváros since December 2021, during which time the Hungarian club has twice become the champion of Hungary and once the owner of the Cup of the country.
