Mishkic’s goal from the penalty spot brought Ural a victory over CSKA in the match of the first round of the RPL

Ural Yekaterinburg defeated CSKA Moscow in the first round match of the MIR of the Russian Premier League (RPL).

The meeting took place in Yekaterinburg and ended with the score 2:1. On the goals of Timur Ayupov (21st minute) and Daniel Mishkic (54), who converted a penalty, the guests answered with an accurate shot by Anton Zabolotny (62). At CSKA, due to an injury, defender Willian Rocha could not complete the match. At the 32nd minute, the Brazilian was replaced by Mikhail Ryadno, who made his debut in the RPL.

For Ural, this victory was the first over CSKA in a Russian championship match since May 1995. Then Yekaterinburg won with a score of 1:0 thanks to a goal by Igor Khankeev, who was assisted by the current head coach of CSKA Vladimir Fedotov.

In the second round, Ural will host PARI NN Nizhny Novgorod on July 29, while CSKA will go on a visit to Akhmat Grozny the next day.
