“In my time it was difficult to imagine the transition from CSKA to Spartak” – Parfyonov
Rodina head coach, ex-Spartak football player Dmitry Parfenov, in an interview with RB Sport, spoke about the transfer of midfielder Jesús Medina from CSKA to the Red-White camp.
Medina became a Spartak player on July 10. The contract with the 26-year-old midfielder runs until the summer of 2026.
– This off-season is abnormal in terms of player transfers, the football player moved from CSKA to Spartak. Could you imagine this during your playing career?
— Well, in the early 90s there were such transitions. It was just the time. Zhenya Bushmanov, Leonidas… If you take my time, it’s hard to imagine – after every derby I wouldn’t go into the entrance, I would hear a lot of match analysis. Everyone knew and talked. I would not have entered the entrance, probably, if I had crossed. I can’t imagine this in our time, ”RB Sport” quotes Parfenov.
Medina has been playing for CSKA since January 2022. As part of the army club, the footballer became the owner of the Russian Cup.
On Match TV on July 22, watch live the matches of the 1st round of the RPL Lokomotiv – Rubin (from 17:00) and Akhmat – Wings of the Soviets (from 19:55).
