Zenit midfielder Wendel will soon arrive in St. Petersburg, said football agent Thiago Ribeiro.

Earlier, the journalist Vene Casagrande on Twitter said that Wendel, of his own free will and without explanation, did not return to the location of Zenit, and his agent arrived in St. Petersburg alone, which caused discontent in Zenit and Flamengo.

Wendel is absent from Zenit’s application for the new season of the MIR of the Russian Premier League (RPL). Wendel, 25, joined Zenit from Sporting in October 2020. The transfer amount was 20.3 million euros (according to Transfermarkt). His contract with the Petersburgers is calculated until June 2027.
