Spartak won a strong-willed victory over Orenburg in the match of the first round of the RPL
Spartak Moscow defeated Orenburg in the first round match of the Russian Football Championship of the 2023/24 season.
The meeting, held at the Otkritie Bank Arena stadium, ended with the score 3:2. Victor Mozes (45th minute) and Daniil Khlusevich (76, 90+1) scored for the Red-Whites, Dmitry Vorobyov (51) and Gabriel Florentin (67) scored for the guests. In the 58th minute, Spartak midfielder Theo Bongonda came on as a substitute, who made his debut for the capital’s team in an official game.
This game was the first for Jiri Yaroshik as head coach of the Orenburg club.
In the second round of the WORLD RPL, Spartak will host Baltika Kaliningrad, Orenburg will play on the road with Rubin Kazan.
