West Ham refuse to sign Manchester United and England defender Harry Maguire. Londoners are tired of waiting for the player to agree the terms of his transfer with the Mancunians. West Ham have moved on to other centre-backs but may later return to English.
It was previously reported that Maguire has agreed on the terms of a personal contract with the Hammers. The transfer amount was to be £30 million. But the player failed to agree monetary compensation with Manchester United related to the salary reduction, which he accepted for transitional reasons. According to the source, the Englishman wanted to receive about 7 million pounds from the Reds.
Maguire has been at Manchester United since August 2019. For his 175 games, 7 goals, 5 assists and 42 yellow cards. Last season, the 30-year-old defender played 31 games in all competitions and received 9 yellow cards. His contract with the Manchester club runs until June 2025. Maguire is valued at €20m by the Transfermarkt.
