CSKA goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev said that journalists misrepresented his words that he was allegedly tired of football.

– It surfaced on the net that you were tired of football. What kind of thoughts are these? Or taken out of context?

– Certainly! As usual! I don’t even want to discuss. You need to watch the interview carefully, then you will understand what the person is talking about. And when a couple of lines are torn out from you, tied, and then the press reprints, some journalists … But, probably, they have little to do with journalism. I didn’t talk about that at all in the interview. Now I don’t even want to justify myself to anyone and I won’t. I don’t need to.

Football is a favorite job, a favorite thing. If I didn’t want and didn’t love, I wouldn’t be here for a long time. No amount of money would force me to play football at any level.
