Former CSKA footballer Valery Masalitin called the transfer of defender Baktier Zainutdinov to the Turkish Besiktas a loss for the Moscow club.

On Thursday, CSKA communications director Kirill Breido said that the club had agreed with Besiktas on the transfer of Zainutdinov, the footballer went to Istanbul for a medical examination.

– In this situation, Baja’s departure is a loss for CSKA. He closed two positions – the center of defense and the left lateral. The best thing is that the club showed its face by releasing Zainutdinov. There were agreements that, under certain circumstances, Zainutdinov could leave – they were observed. Management keeps their word, unlike the players.

Let Baktier try himself in Turkey. Naturally, a football player should strive to play to the maximum. Let Türkiye be the maximum for today. If he performs well there, then someone else will be interested. It is very good that the desire of the player and the club coincided, – quotes Masalitin “Championship”.

Zainutdinov has been playing for CSKA since 2020. For the team, the 25-year-old midfielder played 83 matches, scored seven goals and gave eight assists. He also scored 12 goals in 30 matches for the Kazakhstan national team.
