Van Basten: I would have been better than Ronaldo if I had played until the age of 38

Former Dutch footballer and coach Marco van Basten has compared himself to five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo of Portugal.
– Who is similar to me from the current players? Lewandowski is a bit similar. Cristiano Ronaldo, I think, is close to it. Only he is physically stronger than me. He is 38 years old and still active. Van Basten played for the Amsterdam “Ajax” and the Italian “Milan”, won the Golden Ball three times. He won the 1988 European Championship with the Dutch national team. In the final, the Oranges beat the USSR national team, van Basten scored one of the goals. The forward ended his career at the age of 28 due to an injury.
