Wendel’s double helped Zenit defeat Spartak in the match of the fifth round of the RPL
Petersburg “Zenith” won a guest victory over Moscow “Spartak” in the match of the fifth round of the MIR RPL.
The meeting in Moscow ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of the Blue-White-Blues, in which Wendel scored a double (32nd and 73rd minutes), Mateo Cassierra scored another goal.
At Spartak, in the 81st minute, Alexander Sobolev scored a goal, converting a penalty.
Zenit scored 10 points and climbed to fourth place in the RPL table, Spartak lost the second match in a row after a series of three victories in a row, with 9 points the Red-Whites are in sixth place.
In the next round on August 26, the team of Sergei Semak will host Ural, Spartak will play at home with Akhmat.
