David Zakharyan, brother of midfielder Arsen Zakharyan, told what advice he gave to the football player after moving to Real Sociedad.
On Saturday, the press service of the Spanish club announced that the 20-year-old Russian had moved to the team from Dynamo Moscow and signed a contract until the end of the 2028/29 season.
– Not to say that psychologically it was difficult for our family to survive the entire transfer saga. This time there was no fear that everything could break. We were just waiting for some specifics.
I don’t worry about my brother that much. Yes, a new culture, language and young age. But he is a smart guy – he will learn the language and adapt to everything. According to his stories, the first impressions are amazing: a beautiful city, the club was well received, friendly partners – everything is super! When are we planning to visit Arsen? As soon as possible (smiling).
As an older brother gave him banal advice. Firstly, he said that it is not harmful to dream, and if you really want, then dreams come true. To achieve a goal, you need to set it in front of you and go towards it. Secondly, he advised me to quickly adapt, start learning the language and show the kind of football that he knows how to play and that is asked of him. And our whole family will help him in everything. We are all very happy and sure that he will succeed in Spain! Zakharyan told Sport24.
Real Sociedad in the next match on August 25 will play on the road with Las Palmas in the third round of the Spanish Football Championship.
