Goalkeeper suspended for one match in Italy for blasphemy

Frosinone goalkeeper Stefano Turati has been suspended for one match of the Italian football championship, according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
According to the source, the 21-year-old goalkeeper was punished for uttering a blasphemous expression in the 15th minute of the first round match of Serie A with Napoli (1:3). Turati’s words were broadcast on the match, which was evidence of a violation of the law on the prohibition of blasphemy in a public place, which is in force in Italy.
Thus, Turati will miss the home match against Atalanta on 26 August.
