Former CSKA goalkeeper coach Vyacheslav Chanov does not believe that Ural goalkeeper Ilya Pomazun had an unsuccessful match in the 6th round of the WORLD RPL with Zenit.

On Saturday, the St. Petersburg team defeated Ural at home with a score of 4:0. The third goal of the home team was scored by Claudinho in the first minute compensated by the first half, taking advantage of a blunder by Pomazun. Earlier, the 27-year-old goalkeeper was included in the extended squad of the Russian national team for the September training camp.

– Getting into the expanded composition of the Russian national team and a mistake in the match with Zenit are in no way connected. Every person has the right to make mistakes. If you take the goalkeeper’s encyclopedia, then it is impossible for goalkeepers to be changed after every mistake. There should be a first goalkeeper, like Ilya is now at Ural, and it is clear that problems arise without him. Do you remember when he was wrong? Here it happened. Everyone has the right to make a mistake. Nothing supernatural happened. Moreover, when the team plays against Zenit, the goalkeeper sets himself up as if for an exam. Now Zenit is our leader in all respects.

– One unsuccessful match should not affect the prospects for a call to the national team?

— Absolutely. I would not even say that the match was unsuccessful for him. By and large, there was one moment.

– Is there a first number in the Russian team?

“Honestly, I don’t know yet. We now judge only by the results of each round: one goalkeeper will play, the other will not play. Even if we take the Spartak line now, then who is the first number there now? In my understanding, as long as there is an opportunity, then we must think with a reserve for the future, – Chanov is quoted by Sport Day by Day.
