Babich can become one of the best defenders in the Russian championship, says the ex-player of Real Sociedad

Former Real Sociedad footballer Iker Hernandez appreciated the playing qualities of Spartak newcomer Srdjan Babić.

The Serbian football player moved to the Moscow club from the Spanish Almeria. He signed a contract with the Red-Whites until 2026.

– When I played with him, Srdjan was very, very young, but he already stood out with his heading and physical strength. In addition, he was very fond of connecting to attacks on standards. I don’t remember if he scored in official games, but he created pressure.

What was he like off the pitch?

– I remember how he was very shy because he did not speak Spanish, but gradually he picked up his language and began to communicate with everyone. Then he was not so self-confident, but his strong character was felt.

– Do you think he will succeed in the Russian Championship?

– You know, I don’t really follow the Russian championship. But I think that if Babich was one of the best defenders in La Liga, then he can become one of the best in the Russian championship. I sincerely wish him to win more trophies with Spartak, – quotes the words of Hernandez “Euro‑Futbol.Ru”.
