Zenit goalkeeper Adamov: “I think I’m stronger than Safonov”

The goalkeeper of the St. Petersburg “Zenith” Denis Adamov said that he considers himself a better goalkeeper than Matvey Safonov from Krasnodar.
Adamov moved to Zenit from Sochi in July, signing a four-year contract with the St. Petersburg club with an option to renew. This season, the 25-year-old goalkeeper has not played a single match.
– Do you consider yourself stronger than Safonov?
— Yes, I think so.
– Is Adamov the best goalkeeper in the RPL?
– No. Perhaps Igor Akinfeev. There are other guys too. Sergei Pesyakov, for example.

– Everyone makes mistakes. But the way he plays with his feet, how much he saves the team,” Adamov told RB Sport.
