Former Spartak coach Dmitry Gunko said that there was no point in the immediate resignation of Guillermo Abascal. He also refused to answer the question of whether he would agree to take the place of the Spaniard.
In the match of the 7th round of the WORLD RPL, Spartak Moscow lost to Krasnodar (0: 2) and takes 9th place in the table, 7 points behind the leader.
– Is it time for the Red-Whites to part ways with head coach Guillermo Abascal?
– I think that before winter it is definitely not necessary to make any gestures, no hasty emotional decisions lead to good things. Now we need to understand what will happen in the winter, look at the results, at the game. It can be seen that Spartak holds different matches, there is no stable game. Perhaps Abascal is in some kind of search, because he is constantly changing the composition.
– After the first five matches, everyone said that Spartak would become the champion. After seven rounds, the team is ninth. Spartak is not a contender for the championship this year?
– After five rounds, everyone said the opposite. And now the opinion is diametrically opposed and everyone is talking about changing the coach. What will happen through the circle, no one knows. But to lift up after five rounds and to bury after seven is wrong.
– If you received an offer from Spartak, would it interest you?
— What question are you asking? Incorrect question, – quotes the words of Gunko “RB Sport”.
