“Eternal, Future and Past”. CSKA published a photo with Akinfeev and Fernandez

Moscow CSKA in Telegram channel shared a joint photo of the goalkeeper Igor Akinfeev and the defender of the St. Petersburg “Zenith” Mario Fernandez.

The photo, taken in the under-tribune room on the day of the Russian Championship match against Zenit, shows Akinfeev, a girl in the uniform of an army club, and Fernandez, who reaches out to the goalkeeper of the Red-Blues.

The meeting of the 7th round of the WORLD RPL in Moscow ended with a score of 1:1. At the 4th minute, Anton Zabolotny put the hosts ahead, knocking the ball from the guests’ goalkeeper Mikhail Kerzhakov in a tackle. 2 minutes before the end of normal time, Douglas Santos scored the return goal. Fernandez was the only player on the bench who ran to celebrate the goal of the St. Petersburg team at the end of the meeting.

On July 17, Zenit signed a contract with Fernandez under the 1 + 1 scheme. The football player played for CSKA from 2012 to 2022. Together with the Red-Blues, he became the champion of Russia three times, won the Russian Cup and the Super Cup twice.
