Former Zenit player, USSR champion Arkady Afanasyev named the teams that, in his opinion, will compete this season with the Blue-White-Blues in the fight for the champion title.

After seven rounds in the WORLD RPL table, Krasnodar is in the lead, which is ahead of Zenit by three points.

– The merits of Spartak are presented more by journalists to the public. I watched their match against Zenit and I don’t think the Red-Whites have any pretensions. The fact that Krasnodar beat Spartak in the last round also does not mean anything. They need to beat CSKA, Dynamo, Lokomotiv, and more serious teams first in order to confirm their ambitions.
