Atalanta midfielder Alexei Miranchuk will not leave the team in the summer transfer window, the player is working with the team, said the Russian’s agent Vadim Shpinev.

The Russian midfielder did not play in the first three rounds of the Italian Championship this season.

— Lesha was actively involved in the preparatory work. He did not have full pre-season training, now he will make up for it. He remains at Atalanta, there are no options here. He’s definitely not going anywhere this summer. Who knows, maybe he’ll take off now and play for the team all the time,” Shpinev told RB Sport.

According to the publication, Miranchuk did not consider any options other than staying in the top leagues of Europe; returning to Russia is not part of the midfielder’s plans.

The 27-year-old Russian’s contract with the Italian club runs until June 30, 2024. Miranchuk spent the last season at Torino on loan. For the Turin team, he played 29 matches in the Italian Championship, scored four goals and provided six assists.
