RPL clubs asked the RFU to move the Russian Cup matches to the evening

Orenburg sports director Dmitry Andreev said that the MIR clubs of the Russian Premier League (RPL) sent a letter to the Russian Football Union (RFU) with a request to postpone the FONBET Russian Cup matches to the evening.

— We signed a letter requesting the postponement of cup matches to the evening. It’s hard for people to come in on weekdays, few people can leave work, that’s why they asked. I don’t know when the answer will come,” the Match TV website quotes Andreev as saying.

General Director of Krasnodar Vladimir Khashig said that the Krasnodar club also turned to the RFU with a request to postpone the start of the match of the 4th round of the group stage of the RPL FONBET Russian Cup against Dynamo. The game is scheduled to take place on September 19, the start of the match is scheduled for 15:00 Moscow time.

In the group stage of the RPL Path, teams play in two rounds – each with six matches. The clubs that take the first two places in the groups will enter the playoffs of the RPL Path. Teams from third place will play in the playoffs of the Regional Path.
